Basic Information:
Chemical Formula:FeO₄S, commonly found in heptahydrate (FeSO₄・7H₂O), monohydrate (FeSO₄・H₂O), and tetrahydrate (FeSO₄・4H₂O).
Appearance:Heptahydrate ferrous sulfate is typically a blue-green monoclinic crystal or granule; monohydrate ferrous sulfate is a white or pale white powder; and tetrahydrate ferrous sulfate is a white-green or pale yellow-green powder or granules.
Physicochemical Properties:** Relative density 1.898, melting point 64℃. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, effloresces in dry air, easily oxidized by humid air, and decomposes at red heat to produce ferric oxide and release sulfur dioxide and sulfur trioxide.
Production Methods
· Sulfuric Acid Process: Sulfuric acid is mixed with mother liquor and heated to 80°C with steam. Waste iron filings are dissolved in the reaction solution. The resulting slightly acidic ferrous sulfate solution is clarified to remove impurities, then cooled, crystallized, and centrifuged to obtain ferrous sulfate.
· Titanium Dioxide By-product Process: Ferrous sulfate, a by-product from the production of titanium dioxide by decomposing ilmenite with sulfuric acid, is precipitated, frozen, and separated. It is then refined by recrystallization to obtain the finished ferrous sulfate product.
Quality Standards
· Agricultural Grade: Complies with national standard GB8252-87. The product must be a grayish-white powder with good flowability and dispersibility.
· Feed Grade: Must comply with relevant standards such as GB 29211-2012. The heptahydrate content must be between 99.5% and 104.5%, and there are strict limits on the content of heavy metals such as lead, arsenic, and cadmium.

Packaging and Storage
·Packaging: Can be packaged in bulk or in polyethylene plastic bags, straw bags, or woven plastic bags, with a net weight of 20kg or 50kg per bag. Ton bags are also available.
·Storage: Should be stored in a dry warehouse to prevent weathering and moisture. Prolonged storage will cause oxidation and yellowing. During transportation, it should be protected from rain and direct sunlight and should not be transported with harmful or toxic substances.
